Camping Party for Kids (even in winter!)

Nothing is better than the great outdoors – if you live in South Africa! So, your little angel expressed a whish to have his/her next birthday party with an outdoor/camping theme? We will try to make our themes and ideas as varied as possible so you can file and use in future.

Decorate your driveway with animal "paw print" trail (cut paw prints out of cardboard and tape to the ground) leading to your front door.

Kit your nature loving angel with a fishing rod, hat and binoculars – and drop ‘em off with a compass in your backyard.

If you have a few tents, you might as well put them up. It will really make them feel like they are out in the woods.

• Make it fun and really natural – a picture of an elephant or a paper wrapped around a stick.

Explorers may want to practice their wild animal sounds, especially roaring like a lion or singing like a bird.

Hungry Lions
Pick one or two party guests to be lions. All the other kids are antelopes. The game starts when an adult yells "Feeding Time!" The hungry lions must chase and try to catch the antelopes. Those who are caught must stand still and straddle their legs. To be freed, one of the other antelopes must crawl between their legs.You can continue playing the game until everyone has been caught or the kids are too tired to play.
