Hello Parents

The first month of this year is almost gone - can you believe it? This week we are looking at an idea for a pool party.

Cute as a button - this week my sister's youngest had her 3rd birthday and when the grandparents arrived she ran out to greet them. She was so happy and loudly shared her enthusiasm - because Xmas was here again!

Party Theme Idea: Pool Party

Summer is here - and in this country, we like to cool down in the water. Fortunately for us, rain has been pouring from the sky like there is no tomorrow... so we don't need pools.

Party Snacks:

• Cake in the shape of a beach sandal, mermaid, dolphin or sun
• Fruit juices - add garnish to the glasses for older children
• Fruit slices - watermelon, apple, pear, orange and sweet melon
• Nikki chocolates (for that tropical coconut flavour)
• Ice cream
• Jellie in a cup - you can even add fruit

Party Ideas and Décor:

• Buy a few inexpensive pool flotation toys (like noodles) and balls and throw them in the pool for the kids to play.
• Buy big pool tubes to use as seats at a low table.
• As a table decoration a blow up palm tree or coconuts.
• Hire a poolslide.

Party Invite Ideas:

• Dry big flowers in a telephone book and wite on it with a gel pen.
• Cut pool toy shapes out and write the invites on it.
• Alternatively we have a brand new advertiser ready to design party invites that won't break the bank.
