Alien Goo Science Experiment

  • White polyvinyl acetate (PVA) glue / wood glue
  • 2 disposable cups
  • Food coloring
  • Water
  • Borax Powder
  • A plastic spoon or wooden stick to stir
  • A tablespoon to measure
  1. Fill 1 cup with water & add 1 x spoonful of the Borax - stir.
  2. Fill other cup with about 2.5 cm of glue.
  3. Add three tablespoons (20 ml) of water to the glue and stir.
  4. Add a few drops of food coloring and stir until mixed.
  5. Add one tablespoons of Borax solution (cup 1) and stir well.
  6. After the slime forms, leave it for about 30 seconds and then pull it off the spoon and play.

Silly Putty Tips:

  • Putty can stick to clothing, so have your child wear an apron. If it does become stuck on clothes, just soak in warm water to remove.
  • Keep your slime in a tightly closed plastic bag when you are not playing with it.
